Laying the Foundation.

Magayaki Made is the continuation of a family legacy.  Rachael Taylor is a first-generation Nigerian who was raised by two hardworking parents. Her father was trained in electrical engineering, and her mother became an entrepreneur and a social worker when the family faced a crossroads in their American dream. As with many immigrants, the dream wasn’t easily accessible, for many reasons. So as a young girl she began to see the importance of a foundation.

As her mother grew her business and her success, Rachael got her first job washing hair for her mother’s salon. She was learning skills, earning income, and seeing the difficulties and blessings that came with being a business owner. As a teenager, she began to see the importance of a structure.

Rachael went into the corporate world, working in multi-levels within office management, fundraising, and human resources. Within human resources, she discovered a passion for helping people discover their vision and taking the steps to achieve it. She was seeing the importance of support.

It wasn’t until after the sudden passing of her mother from complications with cancer, she was reminded of a conversation she always had with her. Her mother would ask what she was doing, she’d respond, “contemplating my life,” her mother would then encourage her to stop contemplating and begin living. There was no return to business as usual. She was now at her crossroads and decided to follow the path started out by her parents. She decided to create a village.

Magayaki Made pulls from over 20 years of experience within various levels of administrative and technical roles, using it to help creative entrepreneurs build businesses and manage their operations, through connecting them with resources and collaborating on systems for long standing success. Let’s move from contemplating to actually living our vision.
